What Does This Tool Do?

So you have all of these wonderful tools and you aren’t sure how to use them?

If you are a metalsmith wanna-be and you researched what you need—chances are you purchased a bunch of tools that you thought you needed to begin your metalsmith journey. But a few weeks/months/years have gone by, and you have forgotten what some of them are for, and how to use them!

So where do you start?

I would start by learning the name of the tool, and then hitting You Tube or the website you purchased it from—good chances are there are one or more tutorials on how to use the tool! Then get a piece of scrap metal and see what the tool can do for you! Your own creativity will then give you clues on what you can make with the tool!

PS—ALWAYS SAVE YOUR INVOICES, RECEIPTS AND MANUALS—JUST KNOWING THE NAME OF THE TOOL CAN BE THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO KNOW WHEN YOU ARE DOING YOUR RESEARCH!
