Students will advance the skills learned in the Beginner class, and will focus on more complex design elements in their projects. Students will continue to perfect their skills in areas of design, soldering, forming, piercing and setting cabochons or create basic faceted settings. Students may choose to select an area of concentration for guided assistance in creating piece(s) of jewelry or small sculpture. Focus will be on creating pieces with form and function, understanding the design process for building pieces that are both beautiful and strong. Students will have the choice of working with Sterling Silver, Brass, or Copper and may work in mixed metals.
Copper and Brass are available at the studio, Students in the Intermediate class are expected to purchase sterling silver prior to the class if they would like to work in silver (Guidance can be provided in advanced by the instructor)
