Everybody who is anybody in the jewelry making world has seen Melissa’s great Online Teaching and Tool videos for jewelry makers —-well—we are so excited she has agreed to come to our studio to teach us her latest projects—making kinetic (spinning or moving) jewelry and combining it with hollow forms. These workshops are intermediate level projects for self taught jewelers who have skills in soldering, sawing and making jewelry components, or those who have completed the beginner class at SilverSpiral Creations. INTRODUCTION TO LAPIDARY ARTS
Observe and Explore the Art of Transforming Stones from Rough into Beautiful Cabochons for Jewelry with Joe Hurst!

Have you ever wondered how gemstones are cut and processed from a rock in the ground to a beautiful polished nugget or cabochon?
In this workshop demo, Participants will observe how a lapidary artist takes a very rough stone and transforms it into a beautiful cabochon ready to be set into jewelry. Each student will have an opportunity to try out the equipment and make a small cabochon. Questions and interactive discussion is welcome and encouraged.
Opportunities to purchase cabochons and/or to sign up for semi-private instruction on making your own cabochons will be available following the demo.

This fun workshop will teach students the secrets to creating mosaic sugar skulls using beads,crystal chatons, and custom bezels designed specifically for this class.
Shaari will share tips and tricks that students can master during class and tuck into their tool box of skills for future inspiration and projects.

Sugar Skulls are a part of the Mexican celebration known as “Dia de Los Muertos” - a Mexican holiday that marks the remembrance &celebration of those who have passed. They are often placed on family alters or gifted to loved ones as a sign of appreciation or thoughtfulness. The symbol has been incorporated into modern culture, and can be seen in contemporary decor, fashion, and jewelry.
Silver Clay Workshop--
Making Jewelry with Silver Clay and a Torch with Lisa Bronson

Did you know you can make pure silver jewelry from metal clay? So much fun and perfect for beginners as well as jewelry pros!
Come and Learn about fine and sterling silver metal clay—Lisa will offer you a brief history of metal clay and then show you many of the techniques you will be using in this 6 hour class.
We will torch fire earrings or pendants (your choice). I will also show you how to kiln fire larger pieces. You will go home with a beautiful silver earrings and a pendant OR Two pendants—again—your choice!
The studio has tools, textures and molds you can use and as part of your tuition, you will receive 20 grams of silver clay.
Transparent Enameling on Fine Silver with Molly Davis

This workshop will offer students a chance to create beautiful enameled jewelry using fine silver and transparent enamels. Your kiln fired enameled pieces will be unique works of art, and promises to inspire you to create one of a kind jewelry that is simply beautiful!
